Having a Spa Party Night at Home
It is vitally important to women’s mental health to get together with other women friends. The men in our lives often just don’t understand us and aren’t able to give us the support that other women can give us. For instance, women like to talk things out when things are bothering us or we have situations in our lives that we need to work out and men just don’t get that. They really don’t understand the need for that, because, that is not how they deal with issues in their lives. That is when we need to pull close to our girlfriends and get some serious female bonding underway!
If you’ve decided to have a Girl’s Night In - At Home Spa with your girlfriends, here are some ideas to get you started. The first thing that you want to consider is the atmosphere. You would, of course, want to make sure the rest of the family had someplace else to be, so that you and your friends would have the place to yourselves. Then you would want to make the atmosphere of the main room you will all be in, absolutely soothing. Dim the lights, light some candles around the room and play some nice relaxing music. Make sure that there are plenty of comfortable places for everyone to sit.
Everyone can bring things from home that they have for the pampering part of you Home Spa. They can bring facial scrubs, facial masks, fingernail polish and supplies, and even makeup if you all decide to get your faces made up. You might want to just make it a relaxing spa and go home with fresh, clean faces. Your friends could also bring stuff for working on each other’s hair. And another important thing to bring is one of their favorite pillows for the the relaxation time.
When your friends first arrive, you can sit around and talk, waiting for everyone to arrive. At this time you can serve them smoothies and dark chocolate. You can also have some women’s magazines lying around the room. Make sure, though, that they are positive ones, and not the mud-slinging gossip rags, as we want this to be a positive, uplifting experience.
When your guests all get there, you can start with facial scrubs and masks and then work on each other’s nails. After that you can move onto applying makeup and fixing hair. When that is all done, you can pop in a progressive body relaxation CD and everyone can find a comfortable spot with their favorite pillows! You will all feel refreshed and ready to face the world again when your Girlfriend’s Spa Night is over!
